Injective, a blockchain protocol for finance, has announced the release of a new software development kit enabling users to create their own AI agents on-chain.

The iAgent, announced by Injective (INJ) on Nov. 19, is a software development kit designed to work with large language models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT to bring on-chain AI agents to users. Injective stated that iAgent aims to redefine possibilities in artificial intelligence for finance.

Unveiled at the Injective Summit 2024, the AI-powered tool is designed to streamline blockchain interactions. With iAgent, users can leverage natural language processing for tasks such as sending payments, placing trades, and managing funds.

Agentic AI systems also automate user interactions with databases, APIs, and applications. iAgents function like bots or automated assistants, and users can develop multiple agents tailored to specific purposes. Each agent can be configured independently.

“Once you’ve set up agents, you use commands in everyday English to interact with them. For instance, you could have one agent for tracking market data and another dedicated to executing trades,” Injective posted on X.

The launch of the iAgent initiative aligns with Injective’s broader efforts to expand its presence in various market sectors. Recently, the layer-1 protocol has gained traction in the real-world assets space, competing with other platforms through innovations like the BUIDL Index, which tracks BlackRock’s tokenized fund.

Injective has also partnered with Mountain Protocol, the issuer of the yield-bearing stablecoin USDM, to bring tokenized U.S. Treasury bills to its users.
