Crypto analyst The DeFi Investor shared a watchlist on X identifying seven tokens worth monitoring as these events approach. Some have confirmed dates, while others are awaiting announcements that have yet to be fully detailed.
Here are the seven altcoins and their upcoming catalysts.
Aave (AAVE) could attract attention as its founder has indicated that Tokenomics 3.0 will be announced soon. Investors will be watching for details about any proposed changes to the token’s economic structure and how they could affect holders.
Avalanche (AVAX) has a more specific event on the calendar. Its Helicon network upgrade is scheduled for September 22. Traders will be monitoring the rollout and any subsequent updates about network performance.
Backpack (BP) is preparing a product launch that Kyle Samani described as the most important of the year. Details remain limited, making the actual announcement important for assessing its potential impact on BP.
PancakeSwap (CAKE) is expected to open its Pre-Access Portal in the coming days. The initiative is designed to provide tokenized exposure to private companies, connecting the decentralized finance platform to the growing tokenization narrative.
Balancer (BAL) faces a particularly consequential governance event. Voting on a proposal to shut down the protocol and distribute treasury assets to BAL holders is scheduled for September 25–29.

Frax Finance (FRAX) has teased an announcement related to frxUSD for the coming week. Its significance will depend on the details released and whether they affect adoption, liquidity or the broader Frax ecosystem.
Injective (INJ) is preparing for its Meridian Mainnet Upgrade on September 24. The upgrade is intended to enable institutional-grade real-world asset issuance, putting Injective in focus as interest in tokenized financial assets continues.
The DeFi Investor also identified Jumper as an additional project to watch, with a major announcement expected next week.
These events give traders several dates to monitor, but announcements and successful upgrades do not automatically translate into higher token prices. September 22 and September 24 are the first key dates, followed by Balancer’s governance vote beginning September 25.
