A cryptocurrency wallet allegedly linked to Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) made millions of dollars in sales during the sharp drop in HYPE price.
According to HyperInsight data, the wallet in question processed transactions worth approximately $6.48 million, selling 105,400 HYPE tokens at an average price of $61.49.
An additional 190,000 HYPE tokens were transferred from the wallet via collection addresses linked to various cryptocurrency exchanges, including Bybit. However, it is not yet clear whether all of these tokens have been sold on the market.
The address facilitated a total movement of 315,000 HYPE throughout the day. The wallet’s current balance on HyperEVM is reportedly approximately 45,100 HYPE.
The sales and transfers occurred during a period when the HYPE price experienced a sharp decline. The token, which had fallen 9.72% in the last 24 hours to around $58.99, dropped as low as $58.89 during the day.
HYPE is trading approximately 21% lower than its all-time high of $76.85.
