It was in September 2025 that the popular crypto and blockchain infrastructure firm Ripple announced a $25 million commitment to support U.S. military veterans and their spouses.

The funding will expand access to capital for underserved small business owners and create career pathways for veterans and military spouses, the company had vowed.

25 recipients of Ripple grants program for American veterans

Hire Heroes USA, a nonprofit organization Ripple had partnered with for the purpose, shared a major update regarding the program on July 13.

On Monday, the nonprofit announced the 25 recipients of its inaugural Ripple Effect Certified Veteran Employer Grants Program, which will support veteran- and military spouse-owned businesses and expand employment opportunities across the military community.

The program is designed to support small- to mid-sized businesses that are at least 51% owned by a U.S. military veteran or military spouse, operate in the United States, and demonstrate a commitment to hiring veterans and military spouses within the next 12-18 months, Hire Heroes USA said.

The program is awarding grants worth $10,000 each to the 25 selected businesses—a total amount of $250,000.

The recipients will also receive Hire Heroes USA's Certified Veteran Employer training, direct access to more than 20,000 military-connected job seekers, employer resources, and ongoing support to help scale their businesses and veteran-ready workplaces, the organization said.

"Veteran and military spouse-owned businesses are a critical source of innovation, job creation, and economic opportunity,” said Ripple's Director of Social Impact, Jonathan Perri.

"This program, powered by Ripple's RLUSD donation to Hire Heroes USA, is a direct investment in entrepreneurs who are committed to hiring from the military community and building businesses that last."

The funding will be delivered in Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, which is pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar. It means the value of one RLUSD is the same as that of one dollar.
