XRP is trading near $1.3177 on the 4-hour chart. The current price sits just above the $1.3145 support zone, a level that has held through recent selling pressure.
Crypto analyst Levi Rietveld, founder of Crypto Crusaders, sees the current positioning as the start of something larger. He believes “XRP bulls are just getting started.”
What the Chart Reveals
The 4-hour chart covers roughly two months of price action. In late August, XRP surged to $1.6987, a significant high that marked the top of a strong bullish move. After that peak, the price began trading below a descending trendline. This diagonal resistance connected a series of lower highs from late August through mid-September.
That resistance line proved significant. XRP broke above it in late September, pushing up to approximately $1.65. The breakout confirmed buyers were absorbing pressure at each pullback and building toward higher prices.
Two horizontal reference levels stand out on the chart. One sits at $1.3619 and the other at $1.3145, both of which now serve as support after the recent decline from the September highs.
The Path Toward $1.40
Since the September peak near $1.65, XRP has pulled back sharply. The asset has consolidated in the $1.27 to $1.38 range through October, and some analysts expect a deeper pullback toward the end of the year. However, the $1.3619 level could act as a pivot. Reclaiming it with conviction gives buyers a foundation to push higher.
Rietveld points to $1.34 as the critical near-term level. He states that “a breakout above $1.34 could send XRP toward $1.36 and $1.40 as bullish momentum builds.” Those targets align with the structure visible on the chart. The $1.40 area represents a prior support zone that became resistance after the October decline. Reclaiming it would be a meaningful development.
Preparing for Comeback Season
The descending resistance line that capped XRP through much of August and September has already been broken once. That prior breakout produced a move from roughly $1.30 to $1.65. Buyers demonstrated they could absorb selling and push the price significantly higher once it can clear resistance levels.
Rietveld’s this “comeback season” for XRP and sees the setup as one where bulls are building toward a sustained move. A clean move above $1.34 opens the door to $1.36 first, then $1.40. Beyond that, the September high near $1.65 becomes the longer-term reference point.
