@arcane_finance and @0xPredicate have unveiled an Enterprise Privacy Stack for @StellarOrg ($XLM) at the Meridian conference in Lisbon. The toolkit is designed to let banks, fintechs and asset issuers keep balances, payment amounts and counterparties hidden, while still meeting compliance requirements. The announcement is also published as a press release on Stellar's website.

How the Compliance Layer Works

Predicate will screen addresses against sanctions lists and risk rules before funds enter or leave the private setup. When an investigation requires the hidden data, the institution decides who can see it, what they can see and for how long.

The two firms have also described the approach in a blog post. Arcane says it is combining Predicate's programmable compliance platform with its own privacy operations infrastructure to create a unified compliance stack for private applications and confidential assets. Before funds enter a confidential environment, participants and funding addresses can be evaluated against identity, AML, KYT, sanctions and application-specific policies.

According to the post, Predicate applies the control and compliance operational support, while the associated evidence remains protected and accessible through Arcane's investigation workflow. The initial integration combines Predicate transaction screening with Arcane's privacy-specific investigation and disclosure infrastructure. The next extension would bring Predicate Asset Compliance into the same lifecycle, linking changes in risk and policy to asset-level controls within private applications.

The design addresses a practical tension. On a public blockchain, anyone can inspect transaction history. Regulated institutions often cannot accept that level of exposure for client balances and payment flows, yet they still need to investigate suspicious activity and report to regulators. A system that hides data by default but allows controlled, logged disclosure is meant to cover both needs.

Meridian 2026 and Stellar's Privacy Push

Meridian 2026 is the Stellar Development Foundation's annual conference in Lisbon. The event runs on October 28 and 29, 2026.The official schedule lists a session from Arcane and Predicate on introducing the enterprise privacy stack on Stellar. It also includes talks from Oxbow, OpenZeppelin and Nethermind on related privacy topics, including shielded pools, private transfers and Stellar Private Payments.

The launch fits a wider approach at the network. Stellar's stated idea is to keep the ledger public so the network can be audited and verified, then let developers build privacy tools at the application level. In January 2026, the X-Ray protocol upgrade positioned the network for configurable privacy onchain.Stellar's Q1 2026 update named Nethermind's Stellar Private Payments, Boundless and Arcane among the privacy applications already emerging, alongside an ERC7984-compliant token standard in development with OpenZeppelin.

The material reviewed does not state a launch date, pricing or named bank clients for the stack. Further details may emerge from the Meridian session and follow-up announcements.
