Real-world asset platform Midas has launched two tokenized institutional credit products, mWIN and mGLOBAL, on Avalanche (@avax), opening up strategies previously reserved for large institutional investors to onchain DeFi participants.
Wellington and Fasanara Strategies Go Onchain
mWIN is a tokenized wrapper around an actively managed, multi-sector fixed income portfolio managed by Wellington Management, the Boston-based firm that oversees more than $1.3 trillion in assets under management. Wellington acts as strategy manager, while Northern Trust serves as institutional custodian. The product is issued natively onchain through a Luxembourg Securitisation Vehicle, providing legal clarity on investor rights while remaining compatible with onchain mechanics.
mGLOBAL tracks Fasanara Capital's Global Diversified Alternative Debt strategy, a short-duration private credit portfolio focused on assets such as trade receivables and digital invoices, with the strategy managing more than $6 billion for institutional clients including pension funds and insurers across Europe and North America.
Both tokens are programmable and transferable across Avalanche's DeFi ecosystem, meaning they can plug into lending protocols, yield aggregators, and liquidity pools without requiring custom integration at each venue.
Early Traction and Platform Scale
mWIN launched in August 2026 and attracted more than $15 million in the first two days, climbing to over $25 million in total value locked by month-end. mGLOBAL had already gone live as collateral on Aave Horizon in June 2026, before the Avalanche expansion. Combined with its related mGLO product, the pair surpassed $100 million in TVL on Morpho, contributing to Midas crossing $600 million in total platform TVL. Since its founding in 2024, Midas has facilitated more than $2 billion in asset issuance and distributed more than $46 million in yield to investors. Avalanche itself already hosts more than $2 billion in tokenized assets, making it a natural home for institutional-grade products of this kind.
