Avalanche climbed about 5% over the past 24 hours, outperforming much of the crypto market as investors continued repricing AVAX around a growing institutional real-world asset narrative.

AVAX traded near $11.45, with 24-hour volume above $560 million and market capitalization around $5.1 billion. The token has also recovered sharply from September lows, helped by renewed interest in Avalanche as infrastructure for tokenized funds, securities and institutional settlement.

The latest move does not appear to come from one new headline. Instead, it extends a rally sparked by several institutional developments that have accumulated over the past few weeks.

Goldman Sachs Fund Access Strengthens the RWA Story

The biggest recent catalyst is Lynq, an institutional settlement network built using Avalanche technology, making Goldman Sachs’ Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund accessible to participants.

The fund itself has not been directly tokenized. Instead, eligible institutions can move money into and out of it while remaining connected to Avalanche-based settlement infrastructure, giving the network another foothold in traditional finance.

That fits a much broader shift toward tokenized assets, where funds, stocks and other financial instruments increasingly move onto blockchain rails.

Institutional access to AVAX itself has also expanded. VanEck launched the first U.S.-listed spot Avalanche ETF earlier this year, while Avalanche Treasury was created as another public-market vehicle for exposure to the ecosystem.

The network itself has also undergone a major technical upgrade.

Avalanche activated Helicon on mainnet on Sept. 22, introducing continuous execution, changes to validator staking and a more flexible gas-fee system. An additional Helicon.1 release followed on Oct. 1 to improve snapshot performance.

That matters because Avalanche is competing to become infrastructure for applications where transaction speed and cost are critical.

The institutional story also extends beyond funds. Avalanche-related vehicles have previously attracted hundreds of millions of dollars, including the $675 million Avalanche Treasury transaction aimed at building a large institutional AVAX platform.
