- Binance Futures launched four new USDT-margined perpetual contracts on October 21, 2026 tracking Constellation Energy, Bank of America, Interactive Brokers and Medtronic stock
- The contracts, CEGUSDT, BACUSDT, IBKRUSDT and MDTUSDT, each launched at staggered times that morning and offer leverage of up to 20 times
- Funding is capped at plus or minus 2.00 percent and settles every eight hours at a 0 percent interest rate, with Multi-Assets Mode supported across all four pairs
Binance Futures added four new synthetic perpetual contracts tracking individual US stocks on October 21, 2026, continuing the exchange’s buildout of crypto-native derivatives tied to traditional equities. Each contract launched at a specific, staggered time that morning: CEGUSDT, tracking Constellation Energy Corp on Nasdaq, went live at 09:00 UTC; BACUSDT, tracking Bank of America Corp on the NYSE, followed at 09:05 UTC; IBKRUSDT, tracking Interactive Brokers Group’s Class A shares on Nasdaq, launched at 09:10 UTC; and MDTUSDT, tracking Medtronic plc on the NYSE, rounded out the group at 09:20 UTC.
All four contracts share the same core terms: maximum leverage of 20 times, a tick size of 0.01, and a minimum notional order size of 5 USDT, making them accessible to traders with relatively small position sizes. Funding payments, the periodic exchanges of value between long and short position holders that keep a perpetual contract’s price tethered to its underlying asset, are capped at plus or minus 2.00 percent and settle every eight hours, calculated at a 0 percent base interest rate. All four pairs also support Binance’s Multi-Assets Mode, which lets traders use a range of different cryptocurrencies as collateral margin rather than being restricted to a single asset type.
The selection of underlying names spans a notably diverse mix of sectors: Constellation Energy is one of the largest US power generation companies, with particular relevance given rising electricity demand tied to AI data centers; Bank of America is one of the largest US banks by assets; Interactive Brokers operates a major electronic brokerage platform; and Medtronic is a large medical device manufacturer. That spread gives traders exposure to energy, financial services, brokerage, and healthcare sectors all through the same crypto-native perpetual contract structure.
Because these contracts are purely synthetic derivatives, they track each underlying stock’s price movement without conferring any actual ownership, dividend rights, or shareholder voting power in the real companies, and they settle entirely in USDT rather than requiring any interaction with traditional brokerage or clearing infrastructure. Trading continues 24 hours a day, seven days a week, letting crypto-native traders take positions on these names outside standard US stock market hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when the actual equities cannot be traded.
The launch continues a broader competitive pattern among major crypto exchanges building out synthetic stock and ETF perpetual products to capture trading interest from users who want exposure to well-known traditional companies without leaving crypto-native trading venues. The announcement, published on Binance’s official notice board, noted that availability may be restricted in certain jurisdictions.
