@BinanceUS has added native staking support for $GRAM, the key utility token of @Ton_blockchain, giving eligible American users a new way to earn yield on one of the more prominent layer-1 assets in the market.
9% Annual Yield Through Proof-of-Stake
Qualifying users in the United States can now earn a 9% annual yield by staking $GRAM directly through Binance US. The exchange handles the technical side on users' behalf, with third-party service providers staking on your behalf while funds are securely stored in offline cold storage wallets. All staking rewards are generated solely through blockchain validation by the protocols underlying each supported staking asset, then passed on to the user.
The network utilizes a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism to validate transactions, with validator rewards paid in GRAM, and nominators also able to provide GRAM to validators and receive rewards. Staking $GRAM through Binance US effectively allows retail participants to contribute to that validation process without running their own node.
GRAM's Role in the TON Ecosystem
$GRAM is more than a staking asset. Gram was designed to be a utility token that fuels dApps within the TON ecosystem, used to pay transaction processing fees and cross-chain transaction fees.It also serves as the settlement currency for a growing suite of Telegram-based services, from gaming and DeFi to digital asset purchases, creating real demand tied to platform usage.
The token's current form is the result of a community-led rebrand. On 15 June 2026, a community vote passed with 81.22% support to rename Toncoin to Gram and change the ticker from TON to GRAM.The blockchain continues to use the name The Open Network and the abbreviation TON, while its native token is now officially known as Gram (GRAM).
Telegram's involvement has also deepened. In April 2026, Telegram took over the TON Foundation's primary responsibilities and became the network's largest validator under its "Make TON Great Again" (MTONGA) program, formally reuniting the blockchain with the company that originally conceived it.
With $GRAM now supported, Binance US offers staking across more than 25 cryptocurrencies, broadening the platform's yield-generating options for US-based crypto holders.
