Bitcoin(BTC) buyers are returning as 30-day demand turns positive near 25,000 BTC, but weak spot participation leaves the recovery facing resistance between $67,000 and $72,000.

Key Points:

  • Bitcoin's 30-day demand has recovered to about 25,000 BTC after falling deeply negative around June.
  • BTC trades near $65,000, with realized-price resistance around $67,000 and another hurdle near $72,000.
  • MARA is pledging 18,750 BTC instead of selling, reducing immediate supply while increasing collateral risk.

Bitcoin Demand Recovery

Data from CryptoQuantshow 30-day Bitcoin demand recovered to about 25,000 BTC after deeply negative readings around June, signaling that capital is returning after the latest price decline. Derivatives are leading the rebound.

Futures demand often supplies early momentum as traders rebuild leveraged positions, but the analysis notes that previous recoveries became more durable only when spot buying increased alongside derivatives activity.

Bitcoin trades near $65,000, while the realized price for buyers who acquired BTC one to three months ago is around $67,000, matching a $65,000-$67,000 resistance zone previously identified by AMBCrypto. Recent holders may sell near breakeven.

Another realized-price hurdle sits near $72,000 for the three-to-six-month cohort, while $763 million in ETF inflows and HODLer accumulation provide support even as long-term holder SOPR remains below 1. Corporate selling pressure may also be lower because MARA is pledging 18,750 BTC, worth about $1.2 billion, rather than selling coins to raise $600 million. It sold 23,093 BTC during the first half of 2026.

Bitcoin Resistance Outlook

The immediate test is whether new spot buyers can absorb supply near $67,000 to $67,500 and then at $72,000, rather than leaving futures to carry the rebound by themselves. A sustained break above $67,300 would improve market structure.

Reclaiming and holding $72,000 would strengthen the futures-led recovery, while failure to attract spot demand could leave Bitcoin vulnerable to another fast reversal after leveraged buying pushes prices higher.

MARA's strategy reduces immediate spot supply, but it carries another risk because 53% of its June Bitcoin holdings are pledged and deeper price weakness could eventually trigger forced selling.

Bitcoin's current setup follows May's move toward $82,000 and a later collapse in demand around June. Spot participation is still weak.
