  • Secretary of State Marco Rubio says US still open to diplomatic resolution with Iran.
  • CENTCOM announces US strikes against Iran for ninth consecutive night.
  • Bitcoin hold strongly near $65K amid Rubio's comments and Bitcoin ETF inflows.

Bitcoin (BTC) jumps towards $65K on Monday despite the US-Iran war escalating amid new strikes. The positive sentiment comes as Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the US remains open to a diplomatic resolution with Iran.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio Reveals US Openness for Iran Talks

The Central Command confirmed another wave of strikes against Iran, marking the ninth consecutive night of strikes. US forces continue to degrade Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US remains open to a diplomatic resolution with Iran despite escalating US-Iran war and the deaths of three US service members. However, he claimed, “as long as Iran insists on controlling an international waterway, we’re going to have to respond.”

Meanwhile, President Trump said Iran has been “very, very badly damaged” militarily and argues the country no longer poses the same threat, adding, “We control the strait. They don’t control anything.”

The president also reiterated that Iran “could not have a nuclear weapon” and said the situation will continue to be closely watched.

CENTCOM revealed the latest strikes targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance sites, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks.

This caused Brent oil prices to spike above $90 per barrel today. The US dollar index (DXY) slipped to 100.71 as Marco Rubio signals potential US-Iran war de-escalation. Bitcoin price and US stock futures rebounded amid a drop in DXY.

Moreover, Bitcoin ETF inflows and Clarity Act developments support upside momentum in Bitcoin. Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw over $500 million in net inflows last week, with BlackRock leading amid bullish comments from CEO Larry Fink.

Bitcoin Climbs Towards $65K

Bitcoin hit $65K following Marco Rubio’s positive comments amid US-Iran war, but the price currently holds near $64,800. It moved within the $64,250-$65,037 range in the past 24 hours. Trading volume also increased over the last 24 hours, indicating interest among traders.

10x Research noted that Bitcoin ETF inflows are back. However, sentiment is one of the most important factors for Bitcoin as it does not generate yield. It suggests that traders should continue to focus on actual money flow, such as Bitcoin ETF inflows, alongside other technical factors.

CoinGlass data showed buying sentiment in the derivatives market. At the time of writing, the total BTC futures open interest jumped 0.30% to $47.81 billion in the last 4 hours. BTC futures OI on CME and Binance showed a modest rise as traders remain cautious amid rising volatility and uncertainty.
