A well-known Bitcoin investor has argued that $FET, the token of the Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance, is due a stronger price performance after lagging the wider crypto market.
Bitcoin OG @LLuciano_BTC called for a "solid run" for the token. In his words, it is one of the few projects that barely moved during the recent market rally, and he personally thinks it deserves a bigger move.
FET lags despite teasers from Fetch.ai
@Fetch_ai and @ASI_Alliance have hinted at several upcoming announcements, yet the token has not followed the broader bullish trend. Market data shows the weakness. FET traded at about $0.1928 with a 24-hour trading volume of $93.3 million, according to CoinGecko. The same page shows a 15.7% decline over the past 7 days, and an all-time high of $3.45.
That leaves the token far below its peak. PrimeXBT put FET near $0.17 in late August 2026, roughly 95% below the $3.47 record it set in March 2024. At current levels, CoinGecko lists its market capitalisation at about $445 million, ranked #121.
What is behind the ASI Alliance token
FET is the shared token of a group of decentralised AI projects. The ASI Alliance now unites Fetch.ai, SingularityNET and CUDOS under the FET token, according to Datawallet. Ocean Protocol Foundation formally withdrew from the alliance in October 2025.
The alliance's product line has widened. Fetch.ai contributes agents and the ASI:One experience, SingularityNET contributes AI services and long-horizon AGI research, and CUDOS contributes distributed compute through ASI:Cloud. A dedicated blockchain is also in development. The alliance launched the public DevNet for ASI:Chain in November 2025, a Layer 1 designed for AI agents and high-concurrency applications. PrimeXBT notes that a mainnet launch is expected in late 2026 or early 2027, though no firm date has been announced.
Not all the news has been positive. A $1.56 million exploit on a migration bridge forced a temporary halt to AGIX-to-FET conversions on 20 September 2026, according to CoinMarketCap. Datawallet also says litigation tied to the Ocean Protocol split was unresolved as of mid-2026 and remains an overhang for the token.
Calls for a rebound are opinion, not a forecast, and FET has yet to show a clear trend reversal. Traders will be watching whether the teased announcements arrive and whether they shift sentiment in a token that has trailed the broader market.
