Bitcoin is showing fresh signs of life this week. A mix of whale buying, strong ETF inflows, and record wallet growth has traders talking again.

The price sits near $64,947, up 0.9% on the day. But the real story is happening beneath the surface, in the on-chain data.

What is driving Bitcoin's price action this week?

A wallet linked to Galaxy Digital recently moved 1,346 BTC, worth roughly $87.28 million, to a fresh address. Crypto Rover flagged the transfer on social media, noting the size of the move.

This wasn't a one-off. Data shows the same sender wallet made several large transfers over the past day, some pushing past 900 BTC in a single transaction.

Large wallet movements like this often catch the market's attention. They don't guarantee a price move, but they do show big players are active.A wallet linked to Galaxy Digital recently moved 1,346 BTC

How much Bitcoin have ETFs bought recently?

BlackRock's spot BTC ETF has logged four straight trading days of net inflows. That adds up to 9,269 BTC, or about $604 million.

Looking at BTC ETFs as a group, the picture is similar. Five consecutive days of net inflows total $853.54 million.

Steady ETF demand like this suggests institutional buyers are still building positions, even as the price consolidates in a range.

Why did Bitcoin wallet activity jump this month?

Santiment data shows Bitcoin just had its biggest network growth week in a year. About 2.27 million new wallets were created.

Active wallets hit 751,000, the strongest reading in ten months. Analysts point to the Coldcard wallet security scare as a key trigger.

When people worry about wallet safety, they often move funds, create new wallets, and rotate their setups. That kind of activity naturally pushes on-chain numbers higher.

Sharp swings in fear and confidence tend to get people trading and repositioning. Historically, this kind of shakeup has sometimes led to renewed buying once the dust settles.Bitcoin just had its biggest network growth week

What do the futures and derivatives numbers show?

Bitcoin futures volume over 24 hours sits at $50.91 billion, up close to 40%. Open interest is $48.96 billion, a small gain of 1.27%.

The long/short ratio on Binance sits above 1, meaning more traders are betting on higher prices than lower ones. Top traders on Binance show an even stronger long bias, with a ratio near 1.54.

Liquidation data adds more context. Over the past 24 hours, $39.78 million in positions were wiped out, with shorts taking the bigger hit at $31.87 million.

That imbalance suggests short sellers got caught off guard by recent upward moves.BTC futures and derivatives numbers

Bitcoin price prediction: what do the technicals say?

Bitcoin has broken above a downtrend line that had been in place for ten months. That's a notable technical shift.

The monthly TD Sequential indicator flashed a buy signal last month. This same signal appeared near the 2022 market bottom, which adds some weight to the current reading.

Price is also trading close to its 50-month simple moving average. Going back to 2014, this level has lined up with major market bottoms more than once.

The Chande Momentum Oscillator has dropped to -71. The last time it hit this level was in June, right before BTC fell toward $57,000. Historically, readings this low have often marked bottoms rather than the start of deeper drops.

Bitcoin may still trade sideways between $60,000 and $67,000 for a while. But taken together, these signals point to the possibility that a longer-term low may already be forming.

Nothing here guarantees where Bitcoin goes next. Markets can shift fast, and past patterns don't always repeat.

Still, the combination of whale accumulation, steady ETF demand, and improving technicals gives traders something to watch closely in the weeks ahead.
