The digital asset market changed pace after the rebound observed last week. Bitcoin now surpasses Tesla and Samsung in market capitalization, according to the reported data. This progress follows a price rise up to 81,914 dollars on Saturday. Market capitalization reaches 1,615 billion dollars, ahead of two widely followed global groups. The ranking places the digital asset at 13th among monitored assets. Tesla holds 14th place, while Samsung ranks 15th, behind it.

In Brief

  • Bitcoin reaches 1,615 billion dollars in capitalization, surpassing Tesla and Samsung.
  • BTC climbs to 81,914 dollars Saturday after four sessions of gains.
  • Tesla now ranks 14th, while Samsung holds 15th place among monitored assets.
  • The crypto market progresses despite the Fed rate hikes and the failure of the Clarity Act.

Market capitalization now surpasses Tesla and Samsung

Bitcoin has a market capitalization of 1,631 billion dollars, according to CompaniesMarketCap data. This level surpasses Tesla, valued at 1,438 billion dollars. Samsung follows with 1,237 billion. The gap thus places the digital asset ahead of these two companies in this ranking.

This evolution results from the recent price increase. Bitcoin reached 81,914 dollars on Saturday. Market capitalization should reach approximately 1,630 billion dollars by September 20, 2026. CoinGecko also indicates that BTC traded above 81,000 dollars over the weekend.

CompaniesMarketCap ranks Bitcoin 13th among assets. Tesla occupies the 14th position, and then Samsung arrives 15th. This hierarchy reflects recent valuation changes.

Bitcoin’s rebound resists this week’s announcements

The upward movement faced several factors likely to weigh on cryptocurrencies. On Wednesday, the market perceived the Fed’s rate hikes as a brake for risky assets. Still, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies made progress.

On Tuesday, the Senate only gave 49 votes to the Clarity Act. This result remains below the 60 votes needed for its adoption. The price briefly fell below 74,887 dollars before stabilizing. This decline indicates the market had already factored in part of the failure risk.

In this context, optimistic investors continued to support prices. The price rebounded from its low point of 74,962 dollars on Wednesday. Four days of gains led Bitcoin to 81,914 dollars on Saturday, before profit-taking.

The SEC brings a new element to the market

Another event accompanied the rise observed at the end of the week. The Securities and Exchange Commission published an order creating a regulatory framework. This provision allows certain platforms to issue tokenized representations of listed US stocks. The order takes effect immediately.

This decision came as the market was already trending upwards. The SEC’s “innovation exemption” offset the Clarity Act’s failure. At the same time, Bitcoin surpassed 81,000 dollars on Friday. The movement extended the rebound.

At the time of writing, BTC was down 1.01% over 24 hours. Its price stood at 80,997 dollars after the peak it reached on Saturday. Market capitalization still follows the price evolution. Future variations may change the current ranking.
