Bittensor (TAO) experienced reduced upward momentum on Monday, July 27, 2026, as the cryptocurrency failed to overcome a crucial resistance point and faced renewed selling pressure. The asset’s inability to retake this level has increased the likelihood of a more significant pullback in the days ahead.

Bittensor Price Performance and Market Activity

As of publication, TAO trades at $197.24, reflecting a 3.11% rise over the past 24 hours. Trading volume registered a significant 51.87% increase, reaching $99.38 million, signaling elevated activity among buyers and sellers. Over the previous week, the price advanced a modest 0.47%, data from CoinMarketCap shows.

Despite this incremental weekly gain, technical factors point toward increased downside risk for Bittensor in the short term. CoinCodex forecasts that TAO may decrease 25.02% over the next 30 days, projecting the token could reach $147.09 by the end of that period. Such a move would leave TAO trading well below its current price level.

CoinCodex expects weaker momentum for TAO, estimating a significant drop to $147.09 within the next month if bearish conditions persist. The platform highlights a cautious one-month scenario amid the current price action.

Analyst CryptoTXG highlighted that TAO failed to breach resistance at $214 and faced a forceful rejection, triggering a subsequent pullback. Despite this, the retracement halted before reaching the $167.43 support area.

Technical Signals Indicate Cautious Outlook

According to CryptoTXG, the $167.43 support remains a critical level. The analyst suggests that regaining momentum above $214 could reduce the risk of deeper losses, but the likelihood of a continued pullback increases if TAO remains below this threshold.

CoinGlass data reveals that futures trading volume has surged by 21.07% to total $220.69 million, while open interest dropped 9.80% to $255.48 million. The OI-weighted funding rate remains slightly positive at 0.0006%. This pattern of rising volume coupled with declining open interest and marginally positive funding suggests a short-term shift in sentiment.

Looking at key moving averages, the 20-day EMA sits at $200.30 and the 50-day EMA at $214.10, both above the present TAO price. The 100-day and 200-day EMAs are positioned at $229.10 and $247.60, respectively, maintaining an upward sequence across these timeframes but remaining beyond the asset’s current value.

Bollinger Bands data locates the middle band at $200.50, with upper and lower bands at $214.80 and $186.10. TAO trades $3.10 under the middle band and $11.30 above the lower band, while still standing $17.40 below the upper boundary, underscoring continued price compression within a narrowing range.

With momentum indicators favoring further monitoring, investors are increasingly relying on flexible cryptocurrency portfolio management tools to stay ahead of market movements. Solutions like CryptoAppsy integrate real-time prices, advanced charts, and multi-currency tracking into a single dashboard. Users can set instant price alerts, filter news for specific tokens, and monitor new altcoin listings as they appear, all supported by timely macroeconomic updates such as Federal Reserve interest rate changes.

TradingView charts confirm that TAO continues to move below the short-term EMAs, reinforcing the cautious near-term outlook forecasted by technical analysts. Volume and price action point towards a potential retest of lower support unless the trend reverses decisively.
