@BNBStandard Corporation (NASDAQ: BNC) rang the opening bell at the @Nasdaq MarketSite in New York on October 26, in a ceremony that put a corporate $BNB treasury on the exchange floor. @cz_binance, the Binance founder, was among those present.
Rebrand and new CEO
The event marked the company's new name and the appointment of Alex Odagiu as Chief Executive Officer. The company changed its name from CEA Industries Inc. on September 29, 2026. The new name was chosen after a five-day public advisory vote on X, in which BNB Standard drew about 47% of 5,799 votes. Its Nasdaq ticker, BNC, did not change.
Odagiu became CEO on October 19 after serving as interim president and a director since June. He previously worked at YZi Labs and Goldman Sachs International. According to YZi Labs, Changpeng Zhao, Ella Zhang and the YZi Labs team attended the ceremony.
The company describes itself as home to the world's largest corporate $BNB treasury. Its plans include increasing BNB holdings and operating a validator node on BNB Chain, following a governance agreement with YZi Labs.Odagiu has said most institutional investors have yet to study BNB.
CZ on crypto and traditional finance
CZ said he never imagined that ringing the Nasdaq bell for a BNB token treasury would happen when BNB launched nine years ago. In his view, nothing shows the convergence of crypto and traditional finance better than this moment.
YZi Labs said it supports BNB Standard to give investors a channel to participate in BNB's long-term development in public markets. The company's balance sheet remains heavily concentrated in the token. As of July 31, 2026, BNB tokens made up over 93% of its assets, according to a Pluang summary of company disclosures. That exposes shareholders to BNB price swings, a risk the company has flagged in its own disclosures about volatility in the market price of BNB and the concentration of its holdings in BNB.
