BNB Chain is announcing the launch of BNB Hack: AI Trading Agents, a three-week hackathon inviting developers worldwide to build AI-powered trading agents on BNB Chain, in partnership with CoinMarketCap (CMC) and Trust Wallet. The competition carries a $36,000 prize pool and is open for registration today.
The hackathon addresses a growing gap in crypto markets: while trading opportunities move at machine speed, most individual users lack the tools to process signals, formulate strategies, and execute trades around the clock. BNB Hack challenges participants to change that — building agents capable of reading live market data, generating actionable strategies, and executing transactions on-chain with minimal human intervention.
Participants can compete in either of two tracks:
Track 1 — Autonomous Trading Agents ($24,000 prize pool, 5 winners): Teams build end-to-end agents that trade live on BSC during a dedicated one-week trading window (June 22–28). Agents are scored on real profit-and-loss performance, subject to a maximum drawdown cap as a risk safeguard. The recommended stack includes the CMC MCP server, Trust Wallet Agent Kit for self-custody signing, and the BNB AI Agent SDK.
Track 2 — Strategy Skills ($6,000 prize pool, 3 winners): Teams build CMC Skills that generate backtestable trading strategies from market data — no live execution required. Strategies are evaluated by a discretionary expert panel on technical execution, originality, and real-world relevance.
An additional $6,000 in special prizes will be awarded for best use of tools from each partner: CMC Agent Hub, Trust Wallet Agent Kit, and the BNB AI Agent SDK. A single team may win both a main-track placement and a special prize.
Top finalists will also receive CoinMarketCap Pro API subscription credits, Trust Wallet Reference Agent listing eligibility, CMC Labs mentorship access, and BNB Chain Kickstart Package consideration — designed to help standout projects continue building after the competition ends.
