Caleb & Brown, the Australian crypto brokerage owned by Swyftx Group, has announced its official entry into the United Kingdom. The move extends the firm’s reach beyond its established presence in Australia and the United States, focusing on wealthy investors seeking private digital asset brokerage services.
Acquisition and strategic push
The UK expansion follows Swyftx Group’s acquisition of Caleb & Brown in 2025, a transaction valued at more than $100 million. With this development, Caleb & Brown aims to establish a robust clientele among the UK’s affluent investor base, offering services tailored for high-net-worth individuals.
Swyftx Group is a leading Australian cryptocurrency exchange and technology company known for providing retail and institutional digital asset services. Caleb & Brown operates as its boutique brokerage arm, catering specifically to personal clients seeking direct support and bespoke digital asset solutions.
Opportunity in the UK market
Andrea Yuen, co-CEO of Swyftx Group, described the UK as an “untapped opportunity,” citing lower levels of crypto adoption compared to regions such as the US, Asia, and Australia. Yuen stated that the rates of investment in Bitcoin and other digital assets in the UK remain four to five times lower than in those areas, providing considerable room for growth.
“If you compare the UK to areas like the US, Asia and Australia, the level of investing in Bitcoin and other alternative risk assets is four or even five times lower. It’s a compelling growth opportunity,” Yuen explained.
She also emphasized that the current market “is under-served by private client offerings in digital assets” despite the UK’s stature as one of the world’s leading financial centers.
“The retail crypto exchange model can feel a little jarring to some investors in that context. We think there is a significant opportunity to come in with a more personal service that offers tailored execution,” Yuen added.
Crypto adoption trends in the UK
According to data from Chainalysis’ 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index, the UK ranks 11th globally, just behind Russia, the Philippines, and Ukraine. The Financial Conduct Authority recently estimated that 8% of UK residents own cryptocurrency, a figure that has decreased from the previous year. Nevertheless, the average holdings per investor have reportedly increased.

The regulatory landscape for digital assets in the UK is evolving, with increased attention from authorities such as the Financial Conduct Authority.
