Canary Capital (@CanaryFunds) has moved its planned staked Injective ETF to Nasdaq under the ticker INJC, according to a fourth amended registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday. The fund, formally named the Canary Staked INJ ETF, would hold Injective's native token, $INJ, and stake at least 90% of it.

Fee structure and staking terms

The fund would charge a 1.10% annual fee. It would also pay 30% of its staking rewards in staking fees. An earlier amendment listed the exchange as Cboe BZX. The September 24 filing states the shares would trade on Cboe BZX, while the October 23 amendment names The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC as the exchange.

According to the prospectus, the trust's primary objective is to provide exposure to the price of INJ, less expenses. A secondary objective is to earn additional INJ through a staking program administered by the sponsor, with rewards earned by validating transactions on the Injective proof-of-stake blockchain.

Seed investment and trading partners

The Injective Foundation plans to buy up to $15M of shares at the start, paid in INJ. Jane Street, Cumberland and Flowdesk are among the fund's named trading partners.

The fund cannot begin trading until the SEC signs off. As TokenPost reported on an earlier amendment, a registration statement does not by itself authorize an ETF to launch or begin trading.

Canary is not the only issuer pursuing an INJ product. Crypto Briefing reported that at least three INJ-related ETF applications are pending with the SEC, including proposals from 21Shares and REX-Osprey alongside Canary's.
