The funding round, backed by Paper Ventures, dao5 and other investors, will support the development of cross-chain settlement infrastructure and AI-powered trading capabilities.
Cancore, a blockchain platform focused on connecting tokenized assets on the Canton Network with liquidity across public blockchains, has raised $7.2 million in a seed funding round. Investors include Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures and Proof of Talk.
The funding will support Cancore’s expansion into additional blockchain networks and liquidity sources, alongside further development of its settlement, security and AI-driven trading infrastructure.
Operating on Canton mainnet since April 2026 as both a validator and Featured App, Cancore has recorded more than $53.2 million in cumulative trading volume across over 84,000 transactions. As of October 1, the platform had also generated more than $538,000 in protocol revenue.
“Canton has built strong institutional foundations, and the next step is opening it to broader market liquidity,” said Ye Su, General Partner at ArkStream. “Cancore is taking a practical approach, with live volume and revenue from day one. We’re pleased to back a team focused on real usage over hype.”
Connecting Tokenized Assets With Cross-Chain Liquidity
Cancore is developing an execution and settlement layer designed to connect Canton-native assets, including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), with liquidity available on public blockchain networks. The company describes its infrastructure as a Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance.
A central component of the platform is atomic settlement, which enables transactions between Canton and supported public networks to complete in full or fail without partial execution. Through Cancore’s self-custody wallet, users retain control of their private keys, while cross-chain swaps are structured to settle on both networks or be refunded if execution cannot be completed.
The infrastructure is intended to support the movement of capital between tokenized financial assets and public-chain markets, addressing the need for execution and settlement capabilities across otherwise separate blockchain environments.
“Tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets onchain, but making those assets programmable is the next step,” said Wasif Rashid, co-founder and CEO of Cancore. “We see a future where users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf.”
Expanding AI-Powered Trading and Network Connectivity
Beyond cross-chain settlement, Cancore is developing tools that allow users to automate trading activities through AI agents. Its existing Model Context Protocol (MCP) server supports automated platform interactions and delegated execution.
The company plans to extend these capabilities by enabling users to create and deploy their own trading agents. These agents are intended to execute trading strategies, rebalance portfolios, allocate capital and interact with liquidity across supported networks.
Cancore also aims to expand the range of RWAs and liquidity accessible through Canton, bringing tokenized assets and public-chain markets together within a common execution infrastructure.
“In traditional markets, much of the value sits with the infrastructure that moves capital between venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage,” said Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures. “Tokenized markets will need the same layer, and between Canton and public chains it barely exists today. Cancore is building it to the security standard institutions expect, and we think this team is well placed to define how tokenized capital moves across networks.”
With connectivity currently spanning Canton, EVM and Tron, Cancore intends to use the seed financing to broaden its network integrations and liquidity access while strengthening the infrastructure supporting automated trading and cross-chain settlement.
