Chainlink Hits 2026 High as LINK Wallet Count Falls to 912K
CryptoCompass editorial visual for altcoins coverage.
  • LINK climbed from below $7 in June to a 2026 high near $15.35, while non-empty wallets declined to 912,020.
  • CCIP 2.0 expands cross-chain security controls as Chainlink reports more than $24B in cumulative transfer volume.
  • LINK remains above its 50-day and 200-day averages, with 15.50-16.00 resistance and $14.53 support in focus.

Chainlink reached a new 2026 high as its sharp recovery from June lows coincided with a slight decline in non-empty wallets. Santiment Intelligence reported that LINK climbed to $14.89, while its holder count fell to 912,020. Meanwhile, CCIP 2.0 launched alongside new institutional integrations involving Coinbase and Wyoming.

According to Santiment Intelligence, Chainlink recovered from below $7 in June to reach its reported yearly high of $14.89. However, the number of non-empty wallets declined to 912,020, suggesting some smaller holders may have taken profits.

Santiment noted that the holder count remained near historic highs despite the recent decline. The platform also raised the possibility that larger holders were absorbing tokens sold by smaller investors.

The price chart shows LINK reaching $15.353 on September 29, extending its September rally. Trading volume increased during the advance, with the displayed reading reaching approximately 1.41 billion LINK.

LINK had previously declined from its May highs to around $7.05 in June. After consolidating through July and early August, the token broke out around August 23 and climbed above $12 in September.

CCIP 2.0 Adds Cross-Chain Security Controls

Chainlink launched CCIP 2.0, giving applications greater control over cross-chain security while retaining the network’s default verifier system. Santiment reported that CCIP had processed more than $24 billion in cumulative transfer volume.

Institutional integrations have also expanded. Coinbase selected Chainlink as oracle infrastructure for its tokenized stocks, while Wyoming expanded its use of Chainlink for the state-backed FRNT stable token.

These integrations connect Chainlink’s infrastructure with tokenized assets and financial applications, according to Santiment.

The chart places LINK near the 15.50–16.00 resistance zone, with an upper boundary around $15.97. Immediate support is at $14.53, followed by the 50-day moving average at $13.58.

The 200-day moving average sits at $12.19, leaving LINK above both averages. The 50-day average also remains higher than the 200-day average, while a sustained move above $16 would clear the chart’s identified resistance.
