The Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX) backed $XGZ token is integrating Chainlink (@chainlink) $LINK CCIP through Goldzip (@goldzipxgz) and Midas Labs (@midaslabsxyz). The integration is designed to allow secure transfers across multiple blockchains, with the aim of improving accessibility and liquidity.
What the integration does
According to Crypto Briefing, GoldZip announced the CCIP integration on October 27, 2026, working alongside Midas Labs. The same report says GoldZip is also positioned as a launch partner for Chainlink CCIP 2.0, and frames the move as part of a push to bring tokenized assets into institutional markets.
CCIP is Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol. Chainlink says it lets institutions offer tokenized assets across multiple blockchains through a single, secure integration. Chainlink launched CCIP 2.0 in late September, and GoldZip by the Hong Kong Gold Exchange is named among its launch partners in the official press release. Chainlink also states that CCIP secures over $84 billion in cross-chain token value, according to The Paypers.
About the XGZ gold token
Each XGZ token represents one gram of 99.99% fine gold. Per rwa(.)xyz, the gold is stored in HKGX recognised and approved vaults. Only HKGX members can mint tokens by depositing physical gold, and verified holders can redeem a minimum of 1,000 XGZ for a one-kilogram gold bar.
Crypto Briefing reports that XGZ launched in December 2025, with roughly 39,000 tokens in circulation and a market capitalization of about $5 million as of late October 2026. The token trades on Uniswap and MEXC.
HKGX describes itself as the only spot gold and silver exchange recognized by the Hong Kong government. It has nearly 150 institutional members and over 30 refineries, according to a May 2026 press release announcing Midas Labs as GoldZip's Web3 development partner.
The CCIP link gives XGZ a route beyond its current venues. Whether it translates into deeper liquidity will depend on adoption across the supported chains.
