Chainlink's oracle network has now delivered 20.33 billion verified messages across smart contract-enabled blockchains, according to the latest figures from @Chainlink. The network has also enabled $36.42 trillion in transaction value, a measure of the economic activity that relies on its oracles. The milestone is a further sign of how widely $LINK-powered infrastructure is used across decentralised finance (DeFi).
What the Numbers Measure
Verified messages are cryptographically verified data deliveries that let smart contracts execute using information from outside their own blockchain, such as asset prices. The count is a cumulative usage figure, so it rises over time as more protocols integrate the network.
The transaction value figure should be read with care. The $36.42 trillion is not Chainlink revenue, capitalization, or assets under management. It reflects the total value of transactions that relied on the oracle network, rather than funds held by it.
Both metrics have climbed steadily. A Chainlink blog post published last year put the network at 18B+ total verified messages . A July 2026 Chainlink report cited 19.59 billion verified messages and $32.18 trillion in transaction value enabled , as reported by the Bitcoin Foundation. The latest totals imply continued growth in both measures since then.
Market Position in the Oracle Sector
Chainlink remains the largest oracle provider by value secured. DefiLlama's oracle rankings list Chainlink with 534 protocols and $37.738 billion in total value secured . Messari reported in October 2025 that Chainlink commanded roughly 69.9% of the oracle market by value secured .
Competition exists, however. Chronicle, RedStone, Pyth and API3 also appear in the DefiLlama rankings . Pyth Network is the dominant oracle on Solana and has also done well on Hyperliquid , according to Yahoo Finance. Market share estimates also vary by data provider and methodology, so Chainlink's lead differs depending on the chain and metric used.
The oracle network's growth has also been tied to institutional tokenization work. Swift, JP Morgan, Fidelity and Brazil's central bank have deployed Chainlink for tokenization projects , according to Blockonomi. Message volume and transaction value are therefore likely to remain closely watched indicators of how much real-world and onchain activity depends on oracle infrastructure.
