Chainlink (@chainlink) $LINK spent the third quarter widening its footprint across both traditional finance and digital assets, according to its quarterly review published on October 21.

Institutional work expands with Swift, DTCC and Fulcrum

The report points to work with Swift (@swiftcommunity), DTCC, Bottomline and Infosys (@Infosys). It also covers Fulcrum, a solution designed for institutional financing and collateral management. Chainlink's review says the company introduced Fulcrum at the Sibos conference and announced a solution connecting banks to Swift's blockchain ledger.

Chainlink describes Fulcrum as the first cross-chain repurchase agreement (repo) flow that separates the venue where a financing agreement is managed from the networks where cash and collateral settle. According to Finadium, counterparties can use a single gateway to choose eligible assets, set financing terms and coordinate settlement across supported chains without being tied to one venue.

The review also says DTCC's Collateral AppChain, a shared infrastructure platform for collateral, will use Chainlink's Runtime Environment (CRE) and data standard. It is designed to support near real-time collateral management across financial markets and blockchains. Bottomline plans to connect its banking customers to blockchain payment networks, while Infosys is working with Chainlink services across banking and financial infrastructure.

CCIP continued to gain ground. The review states that more than $15 billion in token value migrated to the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol during 2026, as issuers and protocols replaced legacy cross-chain providers. CCIP 2.0 also went live in the quarter with new security, compliance and settlement controls.

Aave (@aave) $AAVE, Coinbase (@coinbase) $COIN and xStocks (@xStocksFi) were among the names that expanded their use of CCIP, the report says.

On the economics side, the Chainlink Reserve passed 6 million LINK, and the Smart Value Recapture (SVR) service reached more than $24.4 million in total value recaptured, per the review.

Not every metric ties directly to the token. An analysis by CoinGabbar noted that the Reserve added about 1.54 million LINK in Q3 and holds roughly 0.81% of circulating supply. It also found that the review does not publish a direct link between usage figures and token supply or price. Most of the figures are company-reported, and several institutional items, such as DTCC's AppChain, are still ahead of launch.
