Tokyo-based Pacific Meta (@PacificMeta) has signed a strategic partnership with @chainlink to bring tokenized finance tools to Japanese institutions. Pacific Meta has chosen Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), the tool that moves tokens between blockchains, as its preferred cross-chain option. It has also listed Chainlink's Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) on its marketplace. $LINK is the network's native token.
The second piece of the deal is compliance, with ACE listed on Pacific Meta's Partner Solutions marketplace, according to Crypto Briefing. The service supports the adoption of external technologies and is meant to help Japanese financial institutions automate compliance procedures when issuing and managing tokenized assets, Bloomingbit reported.
The partnership centres on three areas. These are institutional tokenized finance, onchain identity and compliance infrastructure. The work spans asset tokenization, digital ID and compliance infrastructure, with an emphasis on fitting inside Japan's local regulatory frameworks. No deployment timeline or financial terms have been disclosed.
On the technology side, Chainlink describes ACE as a tool that extends existing financial systems and market infrastructure for identity and compliance data to blockchains and tokenized assets. Policies can govern access to digital assets through eligibility checks on accreditation, jurisdiction and subscription status.Combined with CCIP, this allows regulated tokenized assets to be brought onto public chains under tightly defined constraints.
Pacific Meta was established on August 10, 2022, and is headquartered in Tokyo. It provides marketing support for overseas Web3 projects entering the Japanese market, including strategy development, localization, promotion and community management. The firm has established relationships with major Japanese companies in telecommunications, consumer electronics and digital advertising.
The two companies are not new to each other. Pacific Meta and Chainlink Labs first announced a partnership in June 2023. That earlier tie-up, per a Pacific Meta post, was aimed at driving adoption of Chainlink services such as Chainlink VRF in Japan and expanding the Chainlink BUILD program in the Japanese market.
For institutions, the pitch is practical. Tokenized assets need to move across networks reliably, every transfer has to satisfy local rules, and counterparties need to be verified. The new deal addresses interoperability through CCIP, compliance through ACE and identity through digital ID work.
