Chainlink (LINK) has been consolidating near the $8.32 level over the last 24 hours following a period of strong selling. Market data points to persistent short-term resistance, but technical analysts are suggesting that a larger upward movement may be developing.

Elliott Wave Analysis Signals Potential Large Rally

Prominent market analyst Chetan recently outlined an Elliott Wave scenario for Chainlink, sharing his perspective on X. According to his view, LINK completed five distinct sub-waves within an expanding diagonal structure, with the primary A wave of this pattern wrapping up in December 2024.

Following this, the asset entered a larger corrective primary B phase. Chainlink’s price has found support at an important Fibonacci retracement zone, where it stabilized around current levels. The Elliott Wave chart hints at a forthcoming primary C rally if the present correction ends as expected.

Indicators from the multi-year chart show LINK testing a major support area filled with overlapping Fibonacci retracement levels. After reaching the lower band of this technical structure, Chainlink bounced from a deep retracement point.

If the projected Elliott Wave scenario plays out, the price could move considerably above its recent trading range. This suggests that LINK’s latest weakness may represent a corrective cycle rather than the beginning of a longer downturn.

Technical projections indicate that Chainlink has reached a major support zone defined by several overlapping Fibonacci retracement levels, potentially setting the stage for a primary C rally if the correction phase ends.

According to Brave New Coin, Chainlink’s price currently stands at $8.32, marking a modest decline of 0.10% over the past 24 hours. The coin recorded an intraday high of $8.38 and a low of $8.26, reflecting a narrow trading window despite intraday volatility.

Chainlink holds a market capitalization of approximately $6.22 billion, with reported daily trading volume reaching $106.77 million and a circulating supply of 748.10 million tokens. LINK remains significantly below its all-time high of $52.70, trading 84.21% under that peak.

Throughout the session, buyers repeatedly attempted to reclaim the $8.32 level, but each advance met selling pressure, causing the price to retreat toward the $8.27 to $8.29 zone. Subsequent rebounds brought buyers back into play, maintaining a tightly bound trading range of $8.26 to $8.38.

Multiple rallies above $8.32 have been countered by sellers, keeping Chainlink within a narrow intraday band as market participants await a decisive move.

Momentum Indicators Suggest Cautious Market Outlook

TradingView data shows LINK/USDT hovering around $8.305, with prices oscillating frequently from $8.26 to $8.35. Short-term intraday rebounds pushed the asset temporarily higher before it settled again close to $8.30.

The MACD line currently sits at 0.001, just above the signal line, hinting at a slight improvement in short-term momentum. However, the MACD histogram’s proximity to zero reflects a lack of conviction behind recent price action. Meanwhile, the 14-period RSI for LINK rests at 43.82, below the neutral level of 50, while the RSI moving average is at 54.51. The divergence between these two points signals that momentum has cooled since midday declines.

Late-session moves saw a mild increase in trading volume, but LINK remains stable near the $8.30 level and has yet to retest the session’s low. Regaining the $8.38 area would contribute to reinforcing a short-term recovery trend for the token.
