Circle Arc mainnet went live Wednesday with more than 100 applications and over 100 institutional and ecosystem builders. Circle Internet Group shares fell 5.53% after the CLARITY Act failed its Senate vote. The network charges USDC gas fees, delivers sub-second finality, and supports EVM contracts. Aave V4, Morpho, and Uniswap were available from day one.
Circle Arc Mainnet Connects Global Banks With DeFi Markets
The Circle Arc mainnet launched with institutional validators including BlackRock, DTCC, ICE, Mastercard, Visa, Galaxy, and Standard Chartered. BNY, HSBC, Societe Generale, and State Street also gained access to the network.
Arc processed more than 700 million testnet transactions before launch. CEO Jeremy Allaire called Arc Circle’s biggest launch since USDC and remained hopeful about the stalled bill.
Circle said predictable fees and instant settlement address concerns raised by institutional customers. The network supports USDC, EURC, GBPA, JPYC, and KRW1 through StableFX and Circle Payments Network. Tokenized funds such as BUIDL and USYC can support trading, lending, and collateral.
Circle Arc Mainnet Roadmap Adds ARC Token and Privacy
Circle minted 10 billion ARC tokens as a technical milestone for the Circle Arc mainnet. The company said the mint does not guarantee a public token launch. ARC may coordinate security, utility, and governance after a possible proof-of-stake transition in 2027.
USDC will remain the fee currency across the Arc blockchain. Circle is developing confidential balances, transactions, and view keys for authorized institutions. Arc Studio uses AI to generate contracts and application code, while App Kits cover payments, swaps, onramps, and yield.
AgentVM would let AI agents handle sensitive data inside a protected environment. The Circle Arc mainnet roadmap also targets payment sectors exceeding 100,000 transactions per second. DTCC and Circle plan to tokenize DTC-custodied assets on Arc during the second half of 2027.
