On July 16, Trump Media announced Truth API, a new business-to-business (B2B) data feed providing licensed, real-time access to posts from the "highest-ranking" Truth Social accounts. Trump has the most followers on the platform.
"Markets already move on Truth Social posts," said Trump Media's interim CEO Kevin McGurn. "Truth API delivers a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform's most market-moving Truths while advancing our strategy to monetize proprietary assets through a high-margin, recurring revenue stream."
Truth API is designed for organizations most impacted by the cost of a delay in information. This includes high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms.
The company said it anticipates the Truth API to be available to institutional customers beginning Aug. 1. It has already signed up customers and is onboarding additional partners in the weeks ahead, it added.

Torres warns of conflict-of-interest concerns
On July 21, Congressman Ritchie Torres (D-NY-15) wrote to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins to express concerns about Truth API reportedly planning to sell Wall Street firms accelerated, machine-readable access to President Donald Trump’s posts on Truth Social.
Trump routinely posts announcements regarding tariffs, foreign affairs, energy policy, and individual companies on Truth Social first, and these statements can immediately move financial markets, Torres highlighted.

He argued that a company substantially owned by the sitting president selling sophisticated traders "faster access to his market-moving policy announcements" is "fundamentally different" from a platform licensing ordinary data.
Even a brief informational edge can generate substantial profits in algorithmic markets and erode confidence in a fair and level playing field, Torres argued.
“American markets cannot remain credible if presidential power is converted into a privately sold trading advantage."
The congressman asked the agency to evaluate whether Truth API implicates securities laws, market manipulation protections, broker-dealer obligations, conflict-of-interest concerns, or other investor-protection requirements.
TheStreet Roundtable reached out to Trump Media & Technology Group for a comment on Torres' email to the SEC and did not receive any response by the time of publishing this article.
