A New Institutional Stack for Tokenized Deposits

Cosmos Labs (@cosmoslabs_io) has partnered with enterprise infrastructure platform Zeeve (@0xZeeve) to help banks and financial institutions deploy tokenized deposits and digital assets on the Cosmos technology stack. The deal pairs Cosmos Labs' ledger technology with Zeeve's managed networks, validator operations, and privacy layer, targeting institutions that need production-grade blockchain infrastructure without building it in-house.

Tokenized deposits are claims on commercial bank money recorded on a blockchain. They enable near real-time settlement, reduce delays, and improve liquidity management between counterparties. For institutions still running legacy payment rails, the appeal is practical: smart contracts can embed predefined conditions such as approvals, triggers, and automated reconciliation, while a shared ledger simplifies reporting, auditing, and operational oversight.

What Each Partner Brings

Cosmos Labs leads engineering and growth for the Cosmos ecosystem and provides blockchain advisory services. The Cosmos stack powers 150+ blockchains across finance, payments, and global business. The platform has a growing institutional client list, with Wells Fargo building its tokenized deposit engine on Cosmos and the USDF Consortium, a US regional banking network for tokenized deposits, running on the same platform.

Zeeve brings the managed infrastructure layer, powering 25+ production chains and processing more than 2 billion transactions monthly. It supports deployment across Hyperledger Besu, Fabric, Cosmos, private EVM L2 chains, and other custom blockchains, with compliance certifications covering ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, and GDPR. The platform connects nodes to existing messaging systems and legacy core banking software, while its privacy layer supports confidential transactions and selective disclosure without sacrificing auditability.

The partnership reflects a broader push by financial institutions to move tokenized deposit projects from pilot to live infrastructure. Regulatory frameworks including MiCA, the GENIUS Act, and Hong Kong's stablecoin licensing regime are accelerating that transition. Cosmos Labs has been active on several fronts: the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Peersyst Technology and LNET to collaborate on the CBWeb3 Project, an initiative focused on exploring interoperability for central bank digital currencies and tokenized financial assets across Latin America.
