The Black Bull, the Solana memecoin trading under the ticker $ANSEM, has gained 12% over the past 24 hours, pushing its market cap to $85.2 million and ranking it 295th on CoinGecko. The token currently has 420 million coins in circulation.
The latest leg higher is being attributed to StonkFun V3's new buyback mechanism and coordinated community support, both of which have added fresh buying pressure to the token.
Who Is Behind the ANSEM Token?
$ANSEM is built around the online identity of Ansem, known online as blknoiz06, a crypto trader and influencer with close to a million followers. He was early to Dogwifhat (WIF) and Bonk (BONK), the two tokens that defined Solana's memecoin supercycle. That track record is a key reason the market treats his name as a price signal.
Ansem did not create the coin. An anonymous developer deployed it and sent 650 million tokens straight to Ansem's wallet for free.Ansem later embraced the coin and pledged to redistribute creator fees to holders. He has been clear that he does not create tokens and does not endorse the many copycat coins using his name.
A Token With Momentum, and Risks
The Black Bull is a Solana memecoin launched on Pumpfun in mid-June, and it has no product, no team, no roadmap, and no revenue behind it.It surged nearly 20,000% in a week and peaked at a $449 million market cap before losing more than 60% of its value in the two weeks that followed.
Ansem pledged to redirect his weekly Pumpfun creator fees, reported at between $200,000 and $378,000, to holders as airdrops. The announcement pushed 24-hour volume past $80 million. He has since airdropped roughly $7 million in tokens in a bid to reach 1 million holders.
