@DogeOS, built by the founders of @MyDoge, has reported that users have completed more than 1 million quests on its platform. The figure points to rising engagement around $DOGE, though it raises the question of how much of it reflects lasting retail adoption.

What the quests are

Quests on DogeOS are accessible through the MyDoge wallet. They are gamified missions and community tasks that form part of "The Grand Heist", a loyalty and engagement campaign designed to explore the Dogecoin ecosystem.

According to the DogeOS blog, users pick a crew, run missions and try apps, all inside the MyDoge app. Chapters run for roughly a week, with new missions added each week from the team and from partners building on DogeOS. Participants earn XP and badges and collect items used across DogeOS, the project said in its MyDoge V3 announcement.

The campaign opened to everyone on October 8, alongside the MyDoge V3 release, according to CoinGabbar. The same report said the team had flagged more than 100,000 completed quests on October 12, before the 1 million milestone.

The headline number needs context. Quests completed is not the same as unique users, since one person can finish many tasks, CoinGabbar noted. Earlier figures from an AMA, which were not independently verified, cited about 8,000 new users per day, per a KuCoin recap.

The technology behind DogeOS

DogeOS is an application layer for Dogecoin. It is built by the team behind the MyDoge wallet and opened its public testnet on a Wednesday, giving developers an EVM-compatible place to build apps for DOGE, according to Unchained. The network is a zero-knowledge rollup that settles its state to Dogecoin, with DOGE used to pay transaction fees.

The setup still has limits. DogeOS currently relies on a trusted execution environment, a validator set and a permissioned sequencer, and Dogecoin itself does not yet verify the rollup's zero-knowledge proofs, Crowdfund Insider reported. No mainnet launch timeline has been disclosed, according to Crypto Briefing.

On funding, the project raised $6.9 million in May 2025 in a round led by Polychain Capital, per Play to Earn.

There is also no token or reward confirmation tied to the quests. UseTheBitcoin reports that DogeOS has not announced a native token or confirmed an airdrop, and that the quest terms state completing quests does not guarantee rewards.

For now, the 1 million quest figure is a sign of activity on a testnet-stage product rather than proof of a mature retail ecosystem. Whether that engagement carries over once DogeOS reaches mainnet remains to be seen.
