DOGE Bulls Eye $0.08 After Whales Add 180M Tokens
CryptoCompass editorial visual for markets coverage.

Dogecoin(DOGE) whales added 180 million DOGE during the latest pullback, supporting a 1.69% rebound to $0.0708 while resistance at $0.074 still limits the recovery.

Key Points:

  • Wallets holding 10M to 100M DOGE added about 180M tokens, lifting their supply share from 11.85% to 11.97%
  • Open interest near $1.17B and positive funding show long-side positioning, but stronger spot demand remains necessary
  • $0.074 is the breakout level, while $0.0676 remains the nearest Donchian support

Dogecoin Whale Buying

Wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million DOGE bought about 180 million tokens during the latest market drawdown, according to Santiment data, increasing their share of supply from about 11.85% to 11.97%. That is still below the cohort's late-July holdings.

The increase points to renewed accumulation, but it does not yet establish a sustained buying trend because balances remain below their recent peak, while some addresses may belong to exchanges or custodians, leaving the reason for the increase unclear.

Derivatives positioning has also improved, with CoinGlass showing open interest near $1.17 billion while the OI-weighted funding rate has remained mostly positive since July. Funding has generally stayed below 0.01%, which suggests leverage is not yet overheated, although elevated open interest could still amplify liquidations if support fails. The long bias is clear.

DOGE Price Levels

DOGE traded near $0.0708 around the middle of its 20-day Donchian Channel, leaving $0.074 as the nearest upper boundary and $0.0676 as the lower support level. A daily close above $0.074 would improve the breakout case.

TradingView data also showed an early bullish MACD crossover, but both the MACD and its signal line remained below zero, indicating improving momentum inside a broader bearish structure rather than a confirmed trend reversal.

The Money Flow Index stood at 34.07, signaling relatively subdued buying pressure, while DOGE remained well below its 200-day moving average at $0.0915.

If $0.074 breaks, bulls could target $0.08, while a loss of $0.0676 would weaken the rebound and reopen a test of recent lows. The broader trend remains weak.

The latest setup follows a period in which large-holder balances had been higher in late July before slipping, while DOGE recently fell enough to test the lower part of its short-term range. That history leaves the current rebound dependent on whether whale accumulation turns into broader spot demand.
