Dogecoin, the popular meme-inspired cryptocurrency, is showing early signs of stabilization after an extended period of sustained selling pressure. The token is currently attempting to establish a bottom in the $0.067 to $0.070 range, suggesting that the recent downward momentum may be slowing.

Short-term stabilization and technical signals

Dogecoin has defended the same general price range since July, with the current price hovering near $0.0700. Over recent sessions, short-term momentum has improved, and the cryptocurrency is now trading within a narrower, more compressed range instead of recording new aggressive lows.

The shortest moving average, now situated at $0.0711, has offered the first tangible sign of upward movement. With DOGE directly testing this level, technical traders see renewed interest in the asset. The 50-day moving average is close behind, at around $0.0723, and the token continues to challenge this important boundary.

For further confirmation, the Relative Strength Index (RSI), a widely used momentum indicator, has climbed from near 43 up to approximately 45.8. While this remains below the neutral 50 level, the reading is a notable improvement over the very depressed values recorded during prior sell-offs.

Major resistance and outlook for recovery

Despite showing signs of improvement, Dogecoin remains below all major medium and long-term trend indicators. The 100-day moving average stands at about $0.0813, while the 200-day average continues to decline around $0.0971. To solidify a positive trend, DOGE would need to regain both the short and medium-term moving averages.

A sustained move above $0.072 to $0.073 could set the stage for a challenge of $0.075, with stronger resistance expected at $0.081. If DOGE manages to surpass this barrier, it would offer a stronger case for a bullish reversal. On the downside, protecting the $0.067 to $0.068 support remains crucial. A firm breakdown below this area would jeopardize the developing base and leave the recent lows exposed to another test.

Short-term technicals have improved, with momentum rebounding and volatility decreasing, but confirmation of a full reversal has not yet emerged.

Dogecoin’s buyers await confirmation

Dogecoin’s recent stabilization signals a shift in sentiment, as volatility has eased and downward momentum has relaxed. Still, the cryptocurrency has not confirmed a trend reversal, and market participants remain cautious as they look for conclusive evidence that a lasting bottom is in place.

Dogecoin, launched in 2013 as a lighthearted alternative to Bitcoin and now backed by a broad and active community, remains one of the most recognizable altcoins in the market. Despite its initial meme status, DOGE has maintained significant market presence over time.

Momentum is rebounding for DOGE, but buyers should continue to wait for a decisive move above key resistance to confirm a recovery.
