The XRP community is paying close attention to a statement from Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla.
Crypto pundit X Finance Bull (@Xfinancebull) posted a video clip of Birla laying out exactly what institutional adoption of XRP looks like in practice. Holding XRP is not the destination. Using it is.
Institutions are not accumulating XRP to let it sit. According to Birla, “folks out there need more to do with their XRP.” He went on to say that institutions specifically need products built to put the asset to work at scale.
The environment matters too. Birla stressed that on-chain activity needs to happen “in a regulated environment with the right kind of privacy and the right kind of compliance.” Evernorth is actively developing the DeFi protocols and institutional products on XRP to make that possible.
Evernorth’s Active Approach
Evernorth Holdings is a digital asset treasury firm built to accumulate and deploy XRP at an institutional scale. The company holds almost 0.5% of XRP’s total supply, and is pursuing a Nasdaq listing under the ticker XRPN through a merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II, with Ripple as a key backer.
Evernorth lends XRP, provides liquidity, and runs yield strategies using Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin. It generates returns from the asset directly rather than waiting for price appreciation.
Demand Follows Use Cases
Institutional capital does not sit idle. When large players accumulate an asset at this scale, they need infrastructure to put it to work. Regulated DeFi products, compliant lending markets, and privacy-preserving on-chain tools are what make that possible.
Evernorth is actively building that infrastructure. As Birla stated, the goal is to expand the pie. Evernorth will simplify access to XRP, increase its use cases for institutions, and pull more capital to the XRP ecosystem. His comments confirm the work is already in progress.
More institutional use cases drive more demand. More demand, at this scale, moves serious capital. Birla has referenced trillions of dollars in potential institutional flows as the market matures.
The Bigger Picture
XRP has long positioned itself as an institution-focused asset. What Birla describes takes that further. Compliance-ready, privacy-conscious DeFi products built on XRP give institutions a reason to stay active in the ecosystem, not just enter it.
Evernorth is building those products. The CEO is saying so publicly. For XRP holders watching institutional adoption develop in real time, that is a concrete signal worth following.
