Crypto analyst Zach Rector has pushed back against ambitious XRP price predictions circulating in the cryptocurrency community. He said XRP will not reach $100 this year. Despite being bullish on XRP, Zach urged market participants to have more realistic price expectations.
“XRP is not going to $100 this year. I’m bullish on XRP but let’s stop playing around out here,” Zach wrote in his post.
The statement directly challenges forecasts that place XRP at extremely high levels before the end of 2026. Zach’s position is notable because he did not frame his view as a bearish argument against XRP. Instead, he separated his positive outlook for the cryptocurrency from what he considers an unrealistic short-term price target.
His comments come as XRP continues to attract significant attention from analysts and commentators who expect substantial gains based on adoption, institutional activity, and the cryptocurrency’s potential role in global payments.
Jake Claver Maintains His Much Higher XRP Forecast
In a previous Times Tabloid article, Jake Claver, CEO of Digital Ascension Group, stated that “major institutions are accumulating XRP without saying much about it publicly.”
He further explained that XRP could become “core infrastructure for international finance,” adding that under such circumstances, its current price would appear small in hindsight.
Claver’s XRP outlook has attracted considerable attention, although his credibility on the asset remains contested. Throughout 2025, he predicted that XRP would reach $100 by the end of the year. XRP ultimately closed 2025 at about $1.87, leaving the prediction roughly 98% away from the actual year-end price.
Rather than retracting his thesis, Claver maintained his bullish position. In 2026, he went further by issuing a $750 price target for XRP. That forecast represents an even more substantial long-term expectation and stands in sharp contrast to Zach’s assessment of what XRP can realistically achieve this year.
Responses to Zach’s post showed that some XRP supporters also expect the cryptocurrency to rise substantially, while maintaining targets below $100.
Ljprospers agreed with Zach’s assessment but still expressed optimism about XRP reaching double-digit territory. “Correct. We’ll be fortunate to see it reach the lower double digits,” the commenter wrote.
Another commenter, Kelly, expressed a significantly more modest expectation, stating, “If XRP rises to $5, I will thank God for the blessing.”
These responses highlight the wide range of price expectations within the XRP community. While some investors anticipate moderate gains, others support forecasts involving prices far above current levels.
Zach’s statement ultimately emphasizes the distinction between being bullish on XRP and expecting an extreme price increase within a specific timeframe. He positions that optimism toward XRP does not necessarily require accepting a $100 target for this year.
