XRP is trading at $1.30, down 2.26%, while the broader crypto market sits in the red. Crypto analyst Austin Hilton sees something in the chart data that he argues deserves serious attention. In a recent video on X, he said historical patterns are aligning in a way that has preceded major price moves before.
What the Chart is Showing
Hilton focused on a technical indicator that generates a green dot signal when a specific wave drops below a white line on the chart. He argued that signal has a strong track record on XRP specifically.
He pointed to three past occurrences. The same indicator preceded XRP’s breakout in August. The asset climbed 194% in 12 days after the green dot appeared below the line. A second occurrence produced a 124% gain in 10 days. A third produced 101% in 11 days.
He also identified an earlier example that returned roughly 83% in 12 days. “Each time has been over 100%,” he says, referring to the more recent signals.
The Current Setup
Hilton said XRP has been consolidating since around August 25 and has just broken through support at $1.32. The blue wave on his indicator is now moving below the white line, described as the early stages of the same pattern. The green dot signal has not yet fired, but he believes the conditions are developing.
“We are now seeing the exact same pattern,” he said. He said that if the green dot appears below the white line, it would represent what he called “almost the perfect time to buy” XRP, based on how the asset has performed historically.
The Buy Signal Has Not Arrived Yet
Hilton is clear that the signal has not arrived. He is tracking the lower right corner of the chart and waiting for the green dot to appear. He distinguished this from earlier instances where the wave approached the white line but did not cross below it. Those did not produce a signal. Only the crossings below the line did.
His argument rests entirely on historical precedent. In his view, the current price weakness and consolidation are setting up a potential entry opportunity. He noted that buying during periods of negative sentiment is consistent with his approach.
Watching for Confirmation
Hilton stops short of calling this a confirmed buy. The current chart conditions are approaching a historically significant setup, but the green dot signal below the white line has yet to appear. That signal is what would confirm the buying opportunity. Until then, he is watching and waiting.
