A financial reset may be closer than most investors realize. Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy), a prominent crypto commentator, published a video laying out the case for XRP as a central player in what he describes as a once-in-a-century restructuring of the global monetary system.

The argument connects geopolitical currency dynamics, legislative momentum in Washington, and growing institutional interest in XRP specifically.

The Petrodollar Connection

Digital Asset Investor has argued for years that crypto was designed to replace the petrodollar system. He ties this to a broader monetary reset, pointing to the U.S. dollar’s position as the world reserve currency as the foundation now under pressure. Former CFTC Chairman Chris Giancarlo reinforced this view in a clip featured in the video.

Giancarlo noted that historically, stable global currencies have been anchored in commodities, and that the U.S. risks losing what he called the “exclusive privilege” of reserve currency status if dollar debasement continues.

Digital Asset Investor places XRP at the top of this transition. He argues it is better positioned than Bitcoin due to speed, deflationary supply mechanics, and its classification as a commodity following its legal battle with the SEC.

The $100 Trillion Thesis

The video also featured macro investor Raoul Pal, who projected that the total crypto market cap could reach $100 trillion by 2032 to 2034. The current market sits at roughly $2 to $3.5 trillion. Pal stated this growth “would be the largest wealth creation in all of economic history in the shortest period of time.”

Digital Asset Investor applied that math directly to XRP, arguing that assets with established utility will capture a disproportionate share of that growth.

Adding to the institutional case, T. Rowe Price launched what it describes as the industry’s first actively managed multi-token spot crypto ETP. The fund includes XRP at a 9.37% allocation, up significantly from the 2%-5% range seen in earlier products of this type.

Ripple’s $16 Trillion Opportunity

Crypto analyst Lark Davis highlighted a statement from Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse as one of the most significant signals for XRP’s future. Ripple processed $16 trillion in transactions last year. None of those transactions involved digital assets.

Davis described this as the core XRP thesis. A fully built network is already operating at scale, with the crypto settlement layer not yet activated. When institutions eventually settle those transactions using XRP, speed, cost, and finality become the competitive arguments against legacy systems.

Legislative momentum also factors into the outlook. He referenced the CLARITY Act, which is making its way through Congress. Many market participants are optimistic despite recent setbacks.
