@Extendedapp has officially announced the migration of its perpetual decentralized exchange to @Arc Blockchain, marking a significant step toward institutional-grade on-chain trading. The move is part of an alliance with @Circle, the issuer of USDC and the company behind Arc.
Three Strategic Pillars
The migration targets three specific areas. First, all trading activity will be anchored on-chain to Arc. Second, the platform aims to accelerate the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs). Third, Extended intends to connect its trading products to Tier 1 institutional distribution channels, a route that Arc's growing roster of institutional participants makes more accessible.
Extended is already listed among the trading applications building on Arc at launch, alongside names including edgeX, Hibachi, and Uniswap-linked infrastructure.
Why Arc
The technical case for the migration centres on two features that Arc is purpose-built around. Transaction fees are denominated in USDC, keeping costs predictable regardless of market volatility, and transactions finalize in under one second with no risk of chain reorganization. For a perpetuals venue where price execution speed matters, those properties carry real weight.
The network claims deterministic finality in under one second with no reorganization risk, with internal benchmarks showing finality below 350 milliseconds and throughput above 3,000 transactions per second when running 20 validators.
Circle launched the public mainnet of Arc as a Layer 1 blockchain designed for stablecoin payments, tokenized assets, and institutional financial activity, with more than 100 applications available at launch, including Aave V4, Morpho, and Uniswap.Eleven institutions plus Circle, including BlackRock, DTCC, and Visa, produce blocks on the network.
For Extended, aligning with that institutional infrastructure gives the platform a credible path toward distribution channels that have historically been closed to purely retail-facing DeFi products. The combination of RWA tokenization ambitions and a stablecoin-native settlement layer positions the DEX squarely at the intersection of traditional finance and decentralized markets.
