Fast Wallet Access and a Fresh Liquidity Play

Holding proof-of-stake tokens usually forces a choice: lock them up for yield or keep them liquid for trading. Faroo wants to eliminate that dilemma for the Pharos ecosystem. On Oct. 28, the team rolled out stPROS, a receipt token that lets users collect staking rewards on their PROS while holding an asset they can freely trade, transfer, or plug into decentralized finance.

Getting started does not require wrestling with custom network settings. Faroo launched with native support inside both Binance Web3 Wallet and OKX Web3 Wallet, meaning users can stake directly through interfaces they already use. It marks the first project to go live under Pharos' ecosystem incubation initiative, which carries a headline $10 million investment pool.

Why the Token Balance Stays Flat While Value Grows

Instead of adjusting wallet balances every few hours through an elastic rebasing mechanism, Faroo chose an exchange-rate setup. Your stPROS balance never changes. Instead, the ratio shifts: each stPROS simply becomes redeemable for more underlying PROS as network rewards accumulate.

The decision is practical. Rebase tokens are notoriously messy for decentralized exchanges and lending pools, where constantly fluctuating token counts cause accounting headaches and broken smart-contract math. Faroo's flat-balance approach integrates far more cleanly.

The protocol also advertises a quick-redemption route that diverts new deposits to pay out users waiting in the exit queue. That sounds great on paper. Still, Faroo has not published public stress-test figures or independent audits to show how this redemption queue behaves when market liquidity suddenly evaporates. Liquid staking tokens always come with baggage, from smart-contract vulnerabilities to severe price depegs during market panic.

Tech Foundations and the Bifrost Connection

Faroo holds the distinction of being the first team out of the Pharos incubation program. The team claims the project secured a post-investment valuation of $10 million, though the exact cash sum handed over and the broader financing terms were left undisclosed.

Under the hood, the platform borrows tech from Bifrost, modifying its SLPx cross-chain staking architecture to fit Pharos. It is a notable technical foundation, but Faroo has shared few specifics about how much the code was altered, and public security reviews are still nowhere to be seen.

What to Expect Next: Real-World Assets and Rewards

Late November 2026 will bring Faroo's most ambitious experiment yet: tbPROS. The concept blends standard proof-of-stake rewards with returns generated from real-world asset (RWA) structures.

Hard details remain thin. Faroo has not named the underlying collateral, the institutional counterparties, expected yields, or the legal entities safeguarding the assets. Alongside the RWA product, the team plans to launch a points program to reward protocol activity and long-term holding, though the actual perks or token rights tied to those points have not been clarified.

Whether Faroo can pull off this blend of crypto staking and off-chain yield will hinge on basic transparency. Delivering steady yield is one thing. Giving users clear visibility into collateral custody, smart contract stability, and redemption safety is another challenge entirely.
