The brokerage platform, popular for its equity, crypto, and tokenized stock offerings, generated $1.31 billion in revenue and $0.62 in earnings per share (EPS), beating Wall Street estimates of $1.26 billion in revenue and $0.41 in EPS.
While the total net revenues increased 32% YoY to $1.31 billion during the quarter, crypto revenue fell 38% YoY to $100 million.
Crypto notional trading volumes were $40 billion, including Robinhood app volumes, which decreased 35% YoY to $18 billion, and Bitstamp volumes, which were $22 billion.
Both Goldman Sachs and Barclays cut their price target on the Robinhood stock despite the brokerage firm's latest quarterly earnings beating estimates.
The Goldman Sachs Group lowered its price target on the Robinhood stock from $137 to $118 on July 30.
Though the bank maintained its Buy rating on the stock, it anticipates slower upside momentum for HOOD amid growing headwinds.
The same day, Barclays also lowered its price target on Robinhood from $122 to $105 and maintained an Overweight rating.
The bank said it believes existing businesses will be responsible for Robinhood's near-term growth, and many of its new initiatives will take years to add substantially to the brokerage firm's revenue base.
The HOOD stock closed at $86.60 on July 30, down 23% this year.
