Zcash, a major virtual currency, has revealed that its recently unveiled crypto ETF surpassed $500 million in AUM in its first two weeks of trading.
Grayscale introduced the product late last month following the SEC’s approval that paved the way for the asset manager to launch the investment vehicle.
With the regulatory nod, Grayscale rolled out what is regarded as the first Zcash ETF listed in the US, giving American investors exposure to ZEC investment.
Zcash ETF hits $500 million in AUM
The Zcash ETF, which went live on August 25, 2026, has so far generated over $500 million in trading volume in its first two weeks, according to data shared today on the X platform.

The development marks a major milestone for the institutional Zcash product, which gives US investors direct access to ZEC through their brokerage accounts without having to purchase or hold the asset themselves. By crossing the $500 million AUM benchmark, the Grayscale Zcash ETF is establishing itself as the leading Zcash investment vehicle for American investors.
The product gives the asset manager (Grayscale) a specialized Zcash investment vehicle for its US customer base. Reaching $500 million in two weeks of trading indicates steady capital inflows since its launch. In other words, surpassing $500 million in AUM shows sustained investor demand and high trust among institutional allocators in ZEC.
While the ETF offers a regulated avenue to Zcash exposure through recognized asset manager Grayscale, its remarkable performance indicates demand for institutional-grade Zcash products.
ZEC rally remains strong, supported by ETF craze
Late last month, the asset reclaimed the $800 level for the first time since 2018 after Grayscale moved to transform its trust into a Zcash ETF. As a result, strong institutional demand for ZEC exposure has driven the asset’s price higher.
Last week, on Friday, September 4, ZEC extended its rally, breaking above $1,000, backed by strong institutional interest in the ETF and rising demand for the privacy-focused currency.

ZEC is currently among the best-performing cryptocurrencies. Today, it’s trading at $1,123 and has been up 55.0%. 151.3% and 2497.8% over the past week, 30 days, and 12 months, showing its persistent bull run.
