In our last DOGE weekly prediction, we laid out three possible scenarios for the days ahead. The bullish case was a break above $0.073, which could have sent the DOGE price toward $0.075-$0.078. The neutral case had DOGE trading sideways between $0.069 and $0.073, keeping the market stuck in a narrow range. The bearish case was a break below $0.069, which could have opened the door to $0.060-$0.065.
So far, the market has taken the neutral scenario. The DOGE price remains near $0.070, and buyers have defended this area across several trading sessions. Bulls have also struggled to push above $0.073, making it the main barrier standing between Dogecoin and a move toward higher levels.
A break above $0.072 would give buyers an early advantage, with $0.075-$0.077 becoming the next area to watch. Still, DOGE would likely need stronger volume to clear that resistance. If the price drops below $0.068, the setup becomes weaker, with $0.060-$0.062 then becoming the next key support zone.
The DOGE Price Needs to Reclaim $0.075
We had a look at the DOGE chart, and the broader trend is still bearish. After reaching around $0.1050 in late May or early June, Dogecoin continued to post lower highs and lower lows. The latest lower high formed near $0.0800 before the DOGE price slipped toward $0.0698.
Source: TradingViewFor buyers, $0.075 is the first level to reclaim. A break above it could open the door toward $0.080-$0.085. If the DOGE price pushes past that range, the $0.090-$0.105 area becomes the next major resistance zone, with plenty of previous trading activity there.
The momentum indicators are giving bulls some encouragement. DOGE’s RSI is at 45.92 and has produced multiple bullish divergence signals. The price has been making lower lows, but RSI has been forming higher lows, pointing to weaker selling pressure.
DOGE Whale Accumulation Adds Support
The technical setup is not the only factor worth watching. On-chain data shows that large DOGE holders have been adding to their positions. One report puts whale purchases at 470 million DOGE, worth roughly $33 million, over a 48-hour period in August 2026. Whale holdings also reached 108.5 billion DOGE in May.
That kind of accumulation can reduce the amount of DOGE available for immediate selling. However, whale buying alone cannot guarantee a sustained recovery. Higher retail activity and stronger market-wide demand would still be needed.
Dogecoin also has a clear regulatory position. The SEC and CFTC classified DOGE as a digital commodity in March 2026. Development proposals such as DogeOS and OP_CHECKZKP could also expand the network’s functionality and create opportunities for DeFi applications.

How High Could DOGE Go This Week?
For DOGE, the $0.075 level is the first level bulls need to take back. A breakout above it with strong volume could send Dogecoin toward $0.080-$0.085, with $0.090 coming into view next. The bigger hurdle is $0.0813, where more than 30 billion DOGE reportedly changed hands. Holding above that level could eventually open a path toward the much higher $0.177 target.
For this week, though, the key range to watch is $0.075-$0.085. If the DOGE price falls below $0.065, the bullish setup would weaken considerably, leaving $0.060-$0.055 as the next potential support zone.
So far, DOGE has a cautiously bullish setup despite the broader downtrend. A move above $0.075 could put $0.080-$0.085 within reach this week, but losing $0.065 would put the recovery case under pressure.
FAQs
Is Dogecoin still in a downtrend
Yes. The DOGE price has continued to form lower highs and lower lows after reaching approximately $0.1050. A break above $0.080-$0.085 would be needed to provide stronger evidence that the trend is changing.
How does whale activity affect the DOGE price
Large-holder accumulation can reduce the amount of DOGE available for immediate selling. Data cited in the analysis showed whales buying approximately 470 million DOGE worth around $33 million over 48 hours, but sustained demand from the wider market would still be needed.
