Hyperion DeFi, Inc. announced in a release distributed on GlobeNewswire at 09:06 ET on September 28, 2026 that it is a launch partner for Frontier’s Hyperliquid Vault, a new membership program built by domain registrar D3 that offers priority access to newly available internet top-level domains.

The program follows ICANN’s August 2026 application round for more than 1,600 new domain extensions, including blockchain-relevant options such as .crypto, .wallet, .sol, and .hype. Under Frontier’s vault structure, members deposit eligible assets, earn what the program calls Frontier Points, and use those points to gain priority access to the new domain extensions ahead of general public registration once they become available.

“Domains are a multi-billion dollar market with 25 years of institutional history, and the internet is about to expand for only the second time in its history,” said Fred Hsu, chief executive of D3, in the release, framing ICANN’s expanded round of new top-level domains as a rare structural opportunity in a market that rarely sees this kind of expansion.

D3 operates as an ICANN-accredited registrar and describes itself as a core contributor to Doma Protocol, an onchain domain infrastructure project. As part of the partnership, Hyperion DeFi is entitled to receive an allocation of the DOMA token contingent on a potential future token generation event, giving the company a direct stake in Doma Protocol’s eventual token economy rather than only a service-level partnership with D3.

The tie-up extends Hyperion DeFi’s strategy of connecting the Hyperliquid ecosystem to new onchain products and services beyond trading and treasury activity, and the company said it expects additional collaboration and revenue opportunities with D3 and Doma Protocol going forward as the new domain extensions roll out to the wider market over the coming months.

Bringing blockchain-relevant domain extensions onto established internet naming infrastructure, rather than keeping them confined to crypto-native namespaces, is intended to make onchain identity more legible to mainstream internet users who already navigate the web through conventional domain names, and ICANN’s expanded application round gives registrars like D3 a rare structural opening to introduce that category of extension at scale.
