Gulf Labs, part of Thailand's GULF Group, is now live as an institutional validator on Injective (@injective), adding a large Thai conglomerate to the network's validator set. The collaboration also covers tokenized assets, stablecoins and local infrastructure access.
What Gulf Labs will do on Injective
According to the official press release, Gulf Labs is the blockchain and digital-asset investment venture of GULF Holding. It will operate an institutional-grade Injective validator, help secure the network and take part in protocol governance.
Crypto Briefing reported that Gulf Labs went live on October 6 and has bonded approximately 500,000 $INJ to support security and governance. Validators on proof-of-stake networks like Injective confirm transactions and vote on how the chain evolves.
Beyond running a node, both parties plan to study tokenization, stablecoin initiatives and enterprise adoption with Thai institutions. The collaboration also includes access to cloud and AI compute through Gulf Edge, which will evaluate data-center capacity, cloud services and AI compute for developers and institutions considering deployments in Thailand.
TokenPost noted that no financial terms, tokenized-product details, transaction values or launch timelines were disclosed, so the scope of any products remains open.
GULF Group's reach and Binance TH's role
GULF Group has a market capitalization of roughly $27 billion, according to the press release, with businesses across energy, telecommunications, digital assets, cloud and data centers. TokenPost cited more than 24 gigawatts of installed energy capacity and telecom operations serving over 46 million mobile subscribers.
Binance (@binance) TH will contribute to outreach and education through its academy, roadshows and universities. Per the press release, Binance TH is operated by Gulf Binance, a joint venture between Gulf Edge and an affiliate of Binance. It provides digital-asset exchange and brokerage services under licenses issued by Thailand's Ministry of Finance and supervision by the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission.
The deal adds to Injective's growing list of enterprise activity. In July, POSCO International and LG CNS selected Injective for a live trade receivables tokenization pilot. The companies said the proof of concept would issue, transfer, administer and settle accounts receivable from POSCO International's existing trade flows. POSCO International said it plans to finalize a pilot operation framework in the second half of this year.
For Injective, the Thai validator extends its institutional footprint in Asia, though the practical impact will depend on whether the planned tokenization and stablecoin work moves beyond the exploratory stage.
