Pentiv (@pentivhq) plans to bring its entire $10 billion real estate portfolio onchain through Injective (@injective). The company also intends to move its agentic operations onchain using $INJ. Injective says the plan marks progress toward greater institutional adoption. No rollout timeline has been announced.
What Pentiv plans to tokenize
Pentiv is the new operating brand of Pineapple Financial, according to CoinGabbar, which cites an October 15 filing. The same report notes the corporate rename still needs shareholder approval.
The "real estate portfolio" refers to mortgages rather than physical buildings. Pineapple Financial, listed on the NYSE American under the ticker PAPL, has already migrated more than $1 billion worth of residential mortgage records onto Injective, according to Crypto Briefing. The company has disclosed plans to eventually move its entire historical portfolio, which includes more than 29,000 funded mortgages valued at upwards of $10 billion.
The records are not new securities. Reporting from GlobalCrypto notes that the blockchain records provide an onchain representation connected to the underlying loan files, and do not themselves transfer ownership of the mortgages. The $10 billion figure therefore describes the scale of the migration ambition, not newly deposited trading liquidity, as Coindoo points out.
Crypto Briefing also reports that Pineapple holds a treasury position of around $100 million in $INJ, the native token of the Injective network.
Injective's institutional push
The announcement adds to a series of institution-focused moves by Injective. The network's institutional arm is now an SEC registered transfer agent, according to Injective's own blog. The registration lets it maintain ownership records and process changes to them within the federal framework for securities markets.
Markets have noticed. KuCoin News reported that $INJ reached $9.16 on October 16, 2026, after a 23% single-day gain, with the token up nearly 70% over the past month. That report links the rally to several factors, including ETF filings and the Pentiv news, so the price move cannot be attributed to the tokenization plan alone.
Details on timing, the scope of each phase and how agentic operations would run onchain have not been disclosed. Until they are, the plan remains an intention rather than a completed migration.
