Intuitive Machines Revenue Hits Record $206 Million

Second-quarter revenue reached $206 million, more than four times the level reported during the same period last year. Spacecraft production, lunar missions, engineering services, and network programs supported the record quarterly result. Meanwhile, contract execution across several government and commercial programs expanded the company’s operating scale.

Intuitive Machines also ended the quarter with $367 million in cash after funding several strategic investments. The company increased advanced inventory purchases to support contracts and prepare for additional production requirements. It also invested in ground infrastructure and long-lead materials for its planned lunar satellite constellation.

Management expects those investments to support recurring revenue from its space communications and navigation services. The company continued expanding capabilities across civil, commercial, and national security markets. Consequently, Intuitive Machines maintained its plan to build a wider space infrastructure business.

LUNR Backlog Jumps to Record $1.8 Billion

Backlog climbed to $1.8 billion by June 30, increasing about $1.5 billion from year-end 2025. Intuitive Machines booked $920 million of awards during the second quarter across several customer groups. Another $300 million of awards followed during the third quarter through the reporting date.

Commercial demand contributed significantly after the company secured a contract exceeding $600 million for three geostationary satellites. NASA also awarded another lunar lander contract under its Commercial Lunar Payload Services program. That agreement represents Intuitive Machines’ sixth CLPS mission and supports a standardized lunar lander production strategy.

National security business also expanded during the quarter and became a larger part of total revenue. National security revenue increased from 3% to 30% of company revenue year over year. Furthermore, a July award covers 18 spacecraft supporting the Accelerated Missile Defense Tranche 3 constellation.

Intuitive Machines Expands Space Infrastructure Network

Intuitive Machines completed its Goonhilly Earth Station and COMSAT acquisition during August. The transaction expands its space-to-ground network across low, medium, geostationary, cislunar, and deep-space environments. That network gives the company broader infrastructure for communications, mission operations, and space-based services.

The company also secured two NASA lunar reconnaissance contracts covering LROC and ShadowCam operations. These contracts include lunar imaging, data processing, storage, analytics, and related mission support. The work supports NASA’s Artemis program alongside future government and commercial lunar activities.

For 2026, Intuitive Machines maintained expected full-year revenue between $900 million and $1 billion. The company also expects positive adjusted EBITDA for the full year. Its expanding backlog now provides substantial contracted work as production and infrastructure programs move forward.
