The native token of @Venom_network_, $VENOM, has staged a sharp rally, jumping more than 110% in a single 24-hour window according to CoinGecko data, to become one of the market's top gainers. The move pushed the token's market cap to just under $40 million, a dramatic turnaround for a project that was sitting at all-time lows just days earlier.

From All-Time Low to Top Gainer

$VENOM hit its lowest price on record around July 28, capping a prolonged slide that had seen the token lose the vast majority of its value from its peak. CoinMarketCap data shows VENOM's all-time high was reached in March 2024 at $0.7955, a level the token remains roughly 98% below even after the recent bounce. The catalyst for the reversal appears to be a governance and positioning move by the Venom Foundation, which proposed a new blockchain adoption metrics framework, drawing renewed attention to the project.

Venom is licensed to operate by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), a compliance credential the project has used to position itself as an infrastructure layer for regulated financial markets. The network's architecture is designed to process over 100,000 transactions per second, with average transaction costs of $0.0002, giving it a technical case for high-volume institutional use.

What Is the Venom Foundation Proposing?

The Venom Foundation is a non-profit organization responsible for managing the development of the Venom blockchain and promoting its adoption. Its latest proposal centers on a framework for measuring real-world blockchain adoption, a move that aligns with a broader industry push to look beyond market capitalization as a gauge of a network's health and utility. The foundation's analytics team has previously released work ranking blockchains by daily active users, emphasizing real-world adoption over market cap.

The project has faced structural headwinds in recent months. OKX delisted VENOM in June 2025, causing a cascade where other platforms followed suit due to a lack of alternative liquidity. Despite that, the latest catalyst appears to have been enough to reignite trader interest, at least in the short term. Whether the move marks a genuine recovery or a brief spike remains to be seen, but for now $VENOM has reclaimed attention as one of the market's standout movers.
