A New Data Standard for Prediction Markets

@Kalshi has launched its live order book on @DoubleZero Edge, offering what the company describes as the world's first machine-readable institutional data feed for prediction markets. The move marks a notable step in Kalshi's push to make its platform accessible to professional trading desks that require more than standard retail-grade connectivity.

The integration is built on a private global fiber network combined with multicast technology, allowing real-time, normalized prices across sports, economic indices, and crypto perpetual futures to be delivered simultaneously to multiple recipients. The platform works by sending data over a private fiber network using multicast, a method commonly used in traditional financial markets to simultaneously distribute data to multiple participants. That approach directly addresses a long-standing gap: unlike traditional finance, where exchanges rely on specialized networks to deliver data at high speed, crypto markets still largely depend on the public internet, a setup that can introduce delays and inconsistencies.

Built for Quant Desks and Programmatic Market Makers

The practical impact of the integration is aimed squarely at institutional participants. Quantitative desks and programmatic market makers will be able to move away from the constraints of Kalshi's legacy JSON API, replacing it with a low-latency feed suited to automated and high-frequency strategies. High-frequency trading firms and quant funds running automated strategies benefit most from faster data delivery, since even small speed improvements can matter significantly when competing for arbitrage opportunities or executing time-sensitive trades.

DoubleZero Edge's infrastructure is designed with this use case in mind. It delivers raw block data through a private global fiber network instead of standard internet routing, and multicast transport sends one data stream to multiple recipients simultaneously, conserving bandwidth and accelerating propagation.

The Kalshi and DoubleZero Edge partnership fits into a broader pattern of institutional infrastructure being layered on top of prediction markets. Kalshi is the first CFTC-regulated prediction market and perpetual futures exchange, and as institutional interest in prediction markets accelerates, Kalshi's regulatory standing as a CFTC-regulated exchange makes it a natural venue for that demand. Earlier this year, Tradeweb and Kalshi announced a strategic partnership with the goal of expanding institutional access to Kalshi's prediction market data and analytics through Tradeweb's global electronic trading platform.

The DoubleZero Edge integration now adds a raw data layer to that institutional stack, giving professional participants the feed quality they need to build systematic strategies directly on prediction market prices.
