Kaspa's ($KAS) Kastle Wallet (@KastleWallet) now supports dotK names, allowing users to register, view and transfer them directly inside the wallet. The update follows the launch of the dotK service, built by @supertypo, on the Kaspa (@kaspaunchained) network.

What the Kastle update does

The feature arrived with Kastle version 1.34.2. Users can register a name, check which names they hold and transfer them to another party without leaving the app. The integration is rolling out on mobile, while support is already live in extension version 2.61. Kastle has asked users to update to the latest version and report any issues.

The wallet also appears to be extending dotK support to sending. A pull request in Kastle's public code repository updates the send-address field to read "Enter Kaspa address, dotK or KNS domain name", reflecting that dotK names now resolve there alongside existing Kaspa Name Service (KNS) domains.

What dotK is

According to a feature request on Kastle's GitHub, dotK is a name system on Kaspa's base layer. Each .k name is a covenant UTXO, meaning the chain itself enforces who owns it. The request states that the system is trustless and that names are provably unique. It also says the service went live on mainnet on 2026-09-13.

Before this update, users had to rely on the dotK web app to register names, including through the Kastle browser extension. Handling registration, viewing and transfers inside the wallet removes that extra step.

Kastle is a non-custodial wallet developed by Forbole. CoinCodex describes it as a Kaspa-focused wallet with mobile and browser extension versions that supports KAS, KRC-20 and KRC-721 tokens and the Kaspa Name Service.

Human-readable names are meant to replace long wallet addresses, which makes sending and receiving funds less error-prone. Kaspa is a proof-of-work blockDAG running at 10 blocks per second, according to the project's own site. Wallet-level support for a second name system gives users more choice in how they identify themselves on the network.

The update was also noted in a weekly roundup of Kaspa development activity, republished by KuCoin, which listed Kastle's dotK support among five developments for the week.
